Dive-in – Veronika Psotková
We never know what exactly awaits us at the end of the tunnel. Will it be that characteristic light and hope or just more of life’s woes and despair to which one will be exposed. In the dynamic site-specific installation by Veronika Psotková, the composition of figures floats towards us like an unexpected magical parade. The spaces of the former power plant come alive with their own mysterious life, which the artist has managed to glimpse and capture. The rabbit net used gives the individual parts and the whole composition the desired lightness and airiness, so that the effect of elegant floating is perfect. The blue lighting evokes an underwater world, almost as if we were in the flooded and forgotten engine room of the Titanic. The mysterious figures gradually make their way through the closed tunnel into a more open space towards the longed-for freedom. A freedom that must be fought for, because it is the only thing that gives meaning to human life.
